Learning from architecture
The central problem is that architects don’t want change - but change is inevitable. People who use them change how they want to use them - but we have to understand that.
Via Pierre Fawkes I found the BBC produced series How buildings learn, about how buildings change after they’re finished and how the best buildings takes care about it’s inhabitants.
Lots of great moments and it’s a nugget to really give some thought when building websites. Most web sites looks great in photoshop but way worse when released and sometimes it’s even worse 12 months later. How websites learn is something worthy of a documentary as well.
