Facebook, evil ads and how to block them
After reading about different reactions to the Facebook Beacon project, my feeling is that…I have no idea.
Data mining might be the kick-ass-need-to-do business activity for every company serious about its digital projects. However the way Facebook does it, it’s kind of extremely intrusive, basically because they won’t let us export our data. However, do you remember the uproar when they launched the news feed? This is nowhere close to that. Facebook is of course EVIL but not sure we, the users, care about that.
