Disrupting the supply chain by Jonas

It’s great to see when start-ups are willing take aime on the business model of a 100-year old industry.

The latest example is Think, a Norwegian car company that aims to change the business model of the auto industry.

All auto companies have tried to incorporate services into their product but none have gone as far as Think.

Think produces and sells a car but then plans to lease what run their cars, the battery. The offer to be is that the battery will be bundled together with much needed services such as insurances and Internet access. The car will cost around USD 15 000 - 17 000 and the battery will go for about USD 100 - 200 a month.

This business model provides Think with total control over the product from start to end and totally disrupt the traditional supply chain. Interesting company to keep an eye on.
