Yahoo news by Jonas

If you can shut out the infomercial feel and the background music the product actually seem to be quite good.

This is something that looks like what I thought of when writing about Government 2.0. Crowdsourcing for teachers could be something really valuable. Where one teacher can focus on making one great lesson instead of 3 OK lessons. Using other teachers material and spreading the knowledge base on a national level is an interesting effort by Yahoo. Which I hope will schools can learn from and see how the web can increase education quality.

Yahoo seem to be having a busy day after also acquiring Zimbra for $350 million. I haven’t personally used it, but it’s a proven company with a solid user base. It will be interesting to see if Yahoo now will make an effort to compete with Google Apps. I hope not since it would only make the peanut butter thinner.
