Government and open source
Miss Rogue has an interesting post about government 2.0. Three examples, how open data could be applied to help the efficiency and productivity of our society:
1. healthcare records being openly accessible and wikified for the patient
2. communication and information exchange in regards to our childrens’ education to be a fully accountable (parent-teacher-student-administration) open dialogue
3. the government as an open, extensible, secure platform for local business.
Interesting and a much needed discussion about opening up the knowledge base of teachers, doctors and students. Dialogue and open source thinking would definitely increase the productivity and the quality of governmental services.
