Hyperlocal shopping through text messages by Jonas

NearbyNow is a small company that offers you the ability to search your local mall for a specific product. Say you walk in to your mall looking for a pair of 501’s. Cool. Just type it into a text message and send it. In return you’ll get a list of stores, including prices. This takes mobile shopping to a new level and offers a relevant integration between the mobile/web world and the Real world. Instead of searching the web for prices, you search when you’re about to make the actual purchase. Likely the conversion rate of such an action would be much higher than advertising on something like Pricerunner. Since you’re so close both physically and mentally of completing the buy. Of course this could also apply to the buying process on the web, however a text message is easy and very gratefullyaccepted in a mall the Saturday after payday…

This could be developed to also display, like Amazon, how many also bought this t-shirt when they bought this pair of jeans. Or just offering nice tips from stylists what could actually match the specific item and give relevant information about that product. Pretty much how e-commerce execute on the web today. Sweet future.
