Cooking up 2.0

Somewhere in the mix of ingredients that make up Web 2.0 must include the spices of passion, interest, and curiosity. And it is appearant that early adopters have taken to cuisine to help satisfy their palate for culture and internationalization. Why else have sites in Sweden such as hittarecept.se and Menumo been used to help drive new trends in internet communication? And speaking of communication, a major part of what Web 2.0 means to me is SPEED and communication. Ruby on Rails accentuates speed, simple applications (37signals) accentuates speed, web publishing tools (my space, wordpress, google page creator), accentuates speed…
So, how can we most quickly attain knowledge of cooking? Well, mestolando has taken the video route and I think their execution is pretty good. It’s what I crave more and more of through the net. Allow me to soak up as much information in the shortest amount of time, anyplace and anywhere (mobile). Speed.
Buon Appetito!

Cool, I hadn’t seen that. Also see Crash Test Kitchen, which is more bloggish. There are probably more cooking vlogs out there.

there are several food related sites that incorporate some video element but few who focus on it as a main feature. crash test kitchen i think was one of the first. to see others a good place to go is to brightcove.com and click on the food-drink nav along the top. thanks for the kind words lk9.
