So you think you have a business idea?
…if so, take a look if it qualifies to the top 12 right now. It seems like if you have some money left over, you might be able to take a little vacation trip and do some business at the same time. A lot of opportunities in the growing economies right now, where you “mashup” areas of low tech development and low economic development, you soon reach the conclusion “well, setting up some high tech solutions here would be nice” and then you’re off to creating you first brick of gold into your golden develeping-nation palace.
My personal favourites would be:
1. Wifi in Brazil: seems like a good idea, not too much cost but at the same time…the weather! and how! Coming from the very north part of the globe sun is always something you value in comparison to diamonds, wealth and happiness.
2. Libya: the new Russia. Bribes, opportunities and Club Med. Seems like another country I’ve heard of…But still a terribly fine opportunity to do some business in the sector you fancy the most, whatever it might be. Get that nice early 1990’s vibe from this.
3. An ad network for India’s mobile developers. Have to say its a great idea…on paper at least. Creating and selling ads on the mobilescreen is an interesting venture and has more potential than just India. Although maybe not as fun as the other two, that is if you like taking more life-threatening risks.

They do sound like great fun too. I’m not sure if I’d classify them as good first businesses though.
