Top 5 Web 2.0 List: Blogs not named… by Jonathan

Techcrunch.

We’ve been a little tied up with a little work and a little vacation, so our apologies for the “post gap”.

It’s safe to say that the majority of what Jonas and myself are reading, these days, are our favorite blogs…some expert, some not so expert…some profound, others not so profound…ehem. But all wonderful sources of information, and the best bit is, they’re free and delivered right into your rss reader. Think about it the next time there’s a tabloid stand sitting next to the cashier at the supermarket.

So, when it comes to “pure” web 2.0 blogs, we like to offer our top 5 with the exception of techcrunch, which should be a staple of your daily breakfast, but we thought we might attempt a little insight to anyone who is new to the phenomenom.

1. Read/WriteWeb, New Zealander, Richard Mcmanus, gives us a daily dose of “next generation web and media”. Co-founder of the web 2.0 workgroup, Mcmanus’ blog warrants recognition as a great read of players in the industry and worthy analysis.

2. Mashable, Pete Cashmere blogs here on social software and web 2.0 start ups and usually gets things hot off the press.

3. The Alarm Clock: Euro, Curious about what’s going in Europe? The Alarm Clock provides a lot on venture capital and tech (i.e. web 2.0 news) in Europe.

4. Web 2.0 Explorer, written by Richard Mcman—aha. see Read/WriteWeb.

5. HorsePigCow, Tara Hunt provides some good reading on various topics, notably her pinko marketing gig. A must read for Marketing 2.0 strategies.

I’m sure we’ll hear about the ones we missed, but that’s where the line was drawn today, so feel free to give us other recommendations.
