If we lose a little bounce in our step today, it’ll be because one of our heros has shunned away from us. How naive were we? Of all the Jason Fried podcasts, videos, etc., which mocked those who raised silly amounts of money for no appearant reason… yesterday, I read about 37 signals accepting a little VC.
Ok, so that was a little dramatic and it’s hard to say they’re “sell outs”, the capital came from Jeff Bezos (who, if you don’t know, founded a small internet company called amazon.com). Not many people better than that who could help them reach the vast market that exists outside the “tech crunch crowd”.
But if we only had a WebGeek tabloid that would release photos of Fried, Hansson and co. out sporting a little “bling” with their new found funds.
