Trust is the key for small teams. by Jonas

Alex and Eric write a nice summary of Cristopher Allen’s speach about trust and how unstructured trust is a way to describe the relationships within small groups. We agree on their discussion on how small groups can enjoy the benefits of havinig a “direct” trust. This is also one of the reasons behind why we believe in small groups. The ability to communicate without cumbersome obstacles hindering the process is a motive why small groups often create and produce strong results.

It is in the concept of trust we often find the reason behind the slowness and lack of flow that are often visible in big corporations and organisations. The concept of trust is naturally following new paths and reaching junctions earlier due to the growth of social interaction on the net (this is also what Alex and Eric are blogging about). But our way of doing both business and work is based on the large trust that each member is faced with, although we of course communicate a lot and discuss parts and task, it is still the trust that makes the work we do efficient, effective, and, what we hope, a high standard of quality.
