What’s In A Name? by Jonathan

As in a domain name. With the availability of good domain names falling sharply, many web-applications (or other web-based operations) are forced to name the product/company based on domain availability. So let’s say your a small web developing company (cough) and your trying to pick the right domain name. For the sake of argument, let’s just use the US market as the target audience. The .com domain you want is selling for oh, $19,000 or so. The obvious options thereafter:

1. add my, hey, or get (as in www.getstocksfinder.com).
2. .net — seeing some good growth
3. domain hack… del.ico.us
4. the rest of the domain extention list.

Everyone has there own formula for this, whether it’s simplicity, catchiness, or accuracy. But which one works??
