Top 5 2.0 List: Design
We’ve received some enquiries about web 2.0, so for those who are interested and may consider O’reilly just the pub around the corner, we’d try a “High Fidelity” view on 2.0.
So, today we’ll share the “current” top 5 web 2.0 designs (according to lk9)… oh, and if anyone needs a little background on this, check out Scratch and for some great design tips, we can strongly recommend: Design Meltdown
First, 5 must haves for 2.0 design:
- the cute bubbly feel: rounded oversized fonts/buttons, 3d icons, shades, et.
- gradient colors
- little round prize sticker with angled text
- logo water-reflection
- ajax
- faceless icon people is up for discusson, feel free to comment on this as it is often a disruption in our day.
…the “current” top 5:
- Screencasting - the quintessence of 2.0 design.
- Cork’d - taking all the “fru fru” out of the uppity of wine.
- Flock - it’s the logo. rounded, 3D, abstract…
- Arcsin - the next step, where 2.0 meets more traditional design.
- My Feedz - has it all.
